Connotations is published by The Connotations Society for Critical Debate, a Germany-based tax-exempt organization that encourages scholarly communication in the field of literature in English (from the Middle English period to the present).
The Connotations Society sponsors biennial symposia which initiate our special issues. It also provides a special member’s area on our website with a discussion platform, calls for papers, announcements, high quality PDFs, and much more. Regularly updated membership lists keep members informed of their colleagues’ research interests.
If you are interested in becoming a member of the Connotations Society or in taking part in the next symposium, please write to editors@connotations.de or join by making a donation to the Connotations Society:
(A donation receipt will be sent to you at the end of the year)
The suggested annual membership fee is 40 €, reduced rate (e.g. for students and part-time researchers) 20 €.
